Field operations are seldom straightforward and however detailed the planning, unforseen problems can always arise. These may require changes to field parameters immediately prior to start-up, or even during the course of the survey. In these circumstances it is essential to provide a fast and reliable evaluation of the effect of changing field parameters, or in the worst case, the implications of acquisition errors. Particularly in the latter case, the operator needs an objective assessment of the situation, independent of the acquisition and field QC contractors.
